What is the LDK?

The LDK is a premier professional fantasy football league, showcasing the world’s elite fantasy football experts.

When will the LDK launch? 

Recruitment for franchise owners begins in the fall of 2024. Recruitment for players starts in Fall of 2024.  The league officially launches with 12 franchises the day after the NFL Super Bowl.

What is the goal of the LDK? 

The LDK aims to reduce the fragmentation in fantasy sports by creating a platform that promotes collaboration, builds a more connected community, and enriches the overall fantasy sports experience. Similar to how the World Series of Poker revolutionized poker, the LDK seeks to elevate fantasy football, turning players into watched and followed personalities.

How are teams formed in the LDK?  

Each franchise owner assembles a front office team of professional fantasy football experts through the league’s free agency process.

What is the format of LDK competitions?  

The LDK is a contract and salary cap dynasty league featuring offensive positions and complete individual defensive rosters. Drafts focus on selecting NFL skill player positions.

What is the free agency process like in the LDK? 

Beginning in spring 2026, the league will conduct an annual free agency auction, managed by its governing body, to select experts within a stipulated stipend cap.

What roles do team owners, general managers, and front office experts play in the LDK? 

Team owners manage overall operations, including personnel decisions. General Managers (GMs) handle on-field strategies, such as drafting, trades, and lineups, with strategic support from their teams. Performance metrics hold GMs and front office experts accountable.

How are the front office operations of each team broadcasted in the LDK?  

Operations are live-streamed on platforms like Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube Live, allowing fans to watch fantasy football at its competitive best, akin to watching top athletes and esports stars.

How are fans involved in the LDK?  

Fans can interact with teams via chat during live broadcasts and engage with content through co-streaming with celebrities.

How are players compensated in the LDK?  

Players may receive a combination of base pay, performance bonuses, revenue shares, prize money, endorsement earnings, consulting fees, and reimbursements, all depending on their performance and league contributions.

What credentials are required to join the league?  

Candidates should have significant experience in fantasy football, a professional background in sports analysis or journalism, published insights, recognition within the fantasy sports community, and a proven track record of success.

Will the LDK expand to include more franchises in the future? 

The league may add more franchises in subsequent seasons, pending approval from its governing body.
